Project 2 Now that you have eaten your opening appetizer, it is time to dig in to your first book!
Assignment One:
Non-fiction:For your First Course, you will pick a book of non-fiction. You may pick your own book, or one off of the Menu. Whatever book you pick, you must be able to finish in 5 weeks, so choose wisely. After you decide on which book you want to read, you will place the order with me. I will approve your choice, and then you are free to begin your reading.
Every Friday, time will be set aside for you to read your book. You will check in with me during this time, and we will track your progress.
Assignment Two:
Pick one of these projects.
Book Review:Write a book review. You will add your book to the Menu, and create a link to your review. Author Talk:Pretend to be the author on tour promoting their book. Give a short talk to the class about the book, and convince your audience that they must read it. Lastly, take questions from your audience. Remember to stick to your author persona, and answer the questions like your author would! PowerPoint:Create a PowerPoint presentation about the book. Include author information, pictures, and your favorite quotes. This PowerPoint will be presented to the class, and placed on the wiki. Book Cover:Create a cover for your book on poster board. You will present it to the class, and it will be hung on the wall for display. Movie Trailor:Create a movie trailer for your book. Premier your trailer to the class. Upload it to YouTube, and put it on the wiki.
